Use an alerting system to get price notifications on bitcoin

https://cryptocurrencyalerting.com
With a free account on this site you get 3 email alerts on the price of bitcoin. Specify the price at which you want the alert.
Personally I like to wait for a low to start my prediction.
When you've learned how to draw trend lines on a candle chart, you know the regions to position your alert(s).

I built an arbitrage system that finds arbitrage opportunities between cryptocurrency exchanges

It took me about 6 months of coding to get where I am now and I'm letting cryptocurrency try it out for free. This is literally the first time I am posting about it to see how people would react to such a system. Currently it is able to find arbitrage opportunities between Binance, Bittrex, Cryptopia, Bitfinex, YoBit, HitBTC, Kraken and Poloniex with many more to come.
It is not like the average arbitrage bots you see mine works by calculating the profit you will make buying on one exchange and selling it on another. It is able to detect which exchanges are doing maintenance on wallets so you dont waste time with false arbitrage opps.
It was able to find a 17% arbitrage opp on Game Credits and I was able to make 15% by purchasing it on Bittrex and selling it on Poloniex 2 days ago. It took me about 7 minutes transfer time. I was also able to buy Bitcoin Gold from Binance and transfer it to Bittrex and sell it for a 20% profit which took me around 30 minutes.
My system is designed to eliminate trading risk by keeping your money out of the market as much as possibles. The purpose is to detect when there is a large price gap between exchanges and capitalize off of it which means get in and get out as fast a you can. The only risk becomes the time it takes to transfer from one exchange to another but the ERC20 tokens transfer pretty fast so it works well with most digital currencies. Also have to be aware of the volume in relation to how much you money you trade with.
I would like to see how many people were able to successfully profit from arbitrage also who would be interested in such a system.
Here is an image of how the system displays the arbitrage opps https://ibb.co/iBWafx and the system can be accessed at Arbiswap.com
----------------------------TRY IT OUT---------------------------------------------------
ATTENTION!!!
Some hater keeps changing the password so I cannot make a test account anymore so it is best everyone create a free trial account and I will make it so the system can be accessed by everyone here at crytocurrency.
It is free to start the trial and will expire in 14 days so make use of it and see if you can find any deals with my system. I suggest you only do ones of 9% or more. Login here http://arbiswap.com/cryptocurrency-arbitrage/ Dont forget to cancel before 2 weeks ends if my system sucks for you.
Keep in mind the system works but you have to be on at the right time to find deals and it updates every 15 minutes. Right now I am working on an alert system which will alert you of the most promising arbitrage opps 9% profit or more on high volume exchanges. Thanks for the amazing feedback I am building this for you guys and it will be limited memberships so work with me and I will with you.
Update: Thank everyone for the support...Email alerts are now active to subscribed members... it checks exchanges every 5 minutes for possible arbitrage opps and when it finds one you will be notified. Anyone can see past alerts on site but they are delayed 3 hours.
Update: here is a medium article I published to try and explain more details about how the system works https://medium.com/@chasarcaulon/presenting-arbiswap-crytocurrency-arbitrage-platform-4dd12b99fd36

OPERATION LIFEBOAT. SOS contact exchanges to use BCH pairs now

This is an emergency alert: Calling all tweeters, traders, meme makers, and concerned customers.

WE NEED TROOPS TO PARTICIPATE IN OPERATION LIFEBOAT. (https://i.redd.it/y717a2t2gemy.jpg)
Problem: The prices of most crypto coins are going down. Why? BTC is a failure (obsolete technology, slow, has high fees, & taken over by banker mafias).
Yet Exchanges still use BTC as the primary trading pair for other coins. This means that everyone is forced to used BTC; and it means that when BTC goes down, everything goes down.
Solution: Obtain independence from BTC trading pairs – by getting exchanges to use BCH pairs. I.e. we need a lifeboat to get off the sinking BTC fail ship.

CALL TO ACTION:

We need our soldiers to contact major exchanges and tell them to immediately offer BCH trading pairs – since BTC is a failure and hurting everyone.

SAMPLES OF WHAT TO SAY:

  1. Consumers demand that you give us #BCH trading pairs. BTC is a failure & hurting all. #OperationLifeboat #BchConvert #SaveCrypto
  2. BTC is a failure & crashing all markets because #Exchanges like yours don't offer #BCH pairs. Fix please! #OperationLifeboat #BchConvert #SaveCrypto
  3. What year are you in? This is 2018. All the best #Exchanges have #BCH trading pairs. You want more money, we want less fees. Duh. #OperationLifeboat #BchConvert #SaveCrypto
  4. Why you discriminating against BCH trading pairs? Dats racist! #BchTradingPairsMatter #OperationLifeboat #BchConvert #SaveCrypto

CONTACT STEPS (Achievement unlocks):

  1. Twitter
  2. Email (list of more here https://www.reddit.com/btc/comments/7qu5bf/here_is_a_big_list_of_contact_information_fo)
  3. Post at different Reddits to raise awareness in all communities. btc, all, bitcoinmarkets, et al.
  4. Post a meme of the sinking BTC ship & reasons to get on the BCH lifeboat. (add text to https://i.redd.it/y717a2t2gemy.jpg)
  5. Post on other social media like Instagram, Facebook, et al.

  3. New https://bitzlato.com - has BCH pairs.
  4. BTC-e – other countries (https://wex.nz/)

NEW TO BCH? WHAT IS BITCOIN CASH?:

Bitcoin cash (BCH) is the upgraded bitcoin. The current Bitcoin Core (BTC) was taken over by banker types who sabotaged the real bitcoin, to make it slow and cost a lot.
Core kicked out the original bitcoin dev team, and changed the programming. Their reddit will ban you if you ask comparison questions or why BTC has problems.

Why should you get into a good crypto like Bitcoin Cash?

Get freedom from the gov, avoid banker and paypal fees, earn profit, and it's easy to use. Bitcoin Cash has all the same qualities and major brand recognition of the original Bitcoin, but with upgraded tech for 2018.
The US dollar value is going down – so you are loosing money by doing nothing with it. If you buy 1 BCH now, then in 6 months it can be worth $10,000 – because it will replace the failed BTC. (BTC went up to $20,000 before people realized how much it sucks).

[WTS] bitcoin trading bot

I have a trading bot for sale, python script and algorithm that makes trades. Gets up to 2% a day typically (if using leverage), some days less.
Have API for most major exchanges coded in. Currently setup for bitmex but you could use the wrapper I have included to do binance, derebit, and more. Have to understand basics of python and how to use IDEs to run it. I can help a little too if you need help setting it up.
I can provide trades it has made previously if anyone is interested. Trying to increase my portfolio size and figured I could help yall do the same.
Payment for bot can be bitcoin or cashapp or whatever. I prefer bitcoin.
Why am I selling it if it is profitable?
I am a broke college student and recently found out my summer internship wasnt going to be paid. My car also broke down and repairs wiped out most of my disposable income. The bot is currently only trading with about $100 because I had to sell my crypto holdings. Anyways, while it does get good returns, it takes a while to compound $100 into something that I can take profits from.
I think that the bot is worth about $500 based on comparable products. Took me about 6 months to perfect the code. It takes tradingview signal emails and executes trades. This purchase includes my pinescript tradingview alert indicator and strategy for calculating profits, as well as the bot to execute it.
I can negotiate on the price, just pretty broke right now and want to accumulate as much btc as we enter the bull market. Please just offer if you are interested and I will try to make it work.

I built an arbitrage tool that tells you which exchange to buy from and which to sell with a built in alert system

It took me about 6 months of coding to get where I am now, as of now it is able to find arbitrage opportunities between Binance, Bittrex, Cryptopia, Bitfinex, YoBit, HitBTC, Kraken and Poloniex with many more to come.
It is not like the average arbitrage bots you see mine works by calculating the profit you will make buying on one exchange and selling it on another. It is able to detect which exchanges are doing maintenance on wallets so you don't waste time with false arbitrage opps. The best feature is our alert system that checks exchanges every 5 minutes for arbitrage opps and emails our subscribers as they happen.
What led me to create it was I kept seeing huge price differences when I was daytrading last year some of the ones I was able to find was a 20% arbitrage opp on Metal and I was able to make 15% by purchasing it on Bittrex and selling it on Binance. It took me about 7 minutes transfer time. I was also able to buy Bitcoin Gold from Binance at least 3 times and transfer it to Bittrex and sell it for a 15- 20% profit each time which took me around 30 minutes. Something else I'd like to mention is that our alert system found the 40% arbitrage opp on BTC-VIA that happened when Binance was hacked a few days ago https://s.nimbus.everhelper.me/share/1533355/bs7dvuubgf83hmgpcnog and notified our susbscribers. So the system works it's a matter of being online at the right time to capitalize of these arbitrage opps that are always occurring.
My system is designed to eliminate trading risk by keeping your money out of the market as much as possible.

EDIT: Now includes a Binance Pump detector at no additional cost (get notified of every price jump - no downloading required)

Weekly news review (May 4-10)
Last week was tough for the crypto community. Let's take a closer look!

Hackers stole more than 7,000 bitcoin from crypto exchange Binance, the world’s largest by volume, the startup reported Tuesday. Binance announced that a “large scale security breach” was discovered earlier on May 7, finding that malicious actors were able to access user API keys, two-factor authentication codes and “potentially other info,” the exchange’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, said in a letter. As a result, they were able to withdraw roughly $41 million in bitcoin from the exchange, according to a transaction published in the security notice.
The exchange may not yet have identified all impacted accounts, he said. And according to Binance’s statement, the breach only impacted Binance’s hot wallet, which contains roughly 2 percent of the exchange’s total bitcoin holdings.

Social media giant Facebook acquired the rights to the “Libra” trademark for its secretive cryptocurrency project.
The Block claims that a source familiar with the matter confirmed that Facebook is recruiting financial firms to develop its own crypto and that the project’s codename and product name is Libra.
Moreover, documents released by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and filed in June 2018 reveal that the company has evidently acquired the rights to the “Libra” trademark.

Bitcoin’s price rose above $6,000 on most cryptocurrency exchanges for the first time on Thursday in nearly six months.
At 00:57 UTC on Thursday, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, which accounts for more than half of all other cryptocurrencies combined, picked up a bid and saw its price reach as high as $6,076 – its highest price since Nov. 14, 2018.

The owner of the TeslaJoy channel received an email purporting to be from YouTube support alerting that her channel was in violation of multiple policies of the platform. To solve the issue in a speedy manner, a more detailed analysis would be necessary and this required some information, including the access password.
YouTube's policy infringement system allows users to report videos that are in violation of the platform rules. When a user is reported three times in just as many months, their account is deactivated.
Scammers abusing this procedure extort money from content creators by reporting them for copyright infringement. After two reports, they contacted the victim asking for money in order to hold off a third violation report.

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) claims to have neutralized an "attempted" cyber attack by launching airstrikes on a building in Gaza Strip from where it says the attack was originated. However, the Israel Defense Force has not shared any information about the attempted cyber attack by the Hamas group, saying it would reveal the country's cyber capabilities. According to Judah Ari Gross of Times of Israel, the commander of the IDF's Cyber Division said, "We were a step ahead of them the whole time," and "this was one of the first times where Israeli soldiers had to fend off a cyber attack while also fighting a physical battle."The commander did not reveal the name of the target, but did say that the cyber attack by Hamas was aimed at "harming the way of life of Israeli citizens."

I built an app that ranks coins based on the growth of their communities (X-Post /r/CryptoCurrency)

Hi /altcoin, I wanted to share a personal project that I figured some of you guys might be interested in. I have noticed in the 9 months (the most meme and stress filled of my life) of closely following the crypto markets, that one of the biggest factors in determining the future success of a coin, coming after only its technology, is the community surrounding it (see /NEO). This isn't always the best thing because fundamentals and the technology sometimes get ignored but its a fact of the market right now.

A community that can dispel all the FUD surrounding its coin, explain to the lay man the value and use case of the coin, or hype upcoming news without going overboard ( don’t see /NEO ;) ) is incredibly valuable to adding to the confidence of potential buyers. This is what inspired me to make Coinmunity.

Coinmunity is an app where you can easily stay on top of which coins are currently experiencing the most growth in their communities (reddit and twitter) and how it relates to their prices over time. In crypto, where hype plays such a huge role in the price, buying the rumor and selling the news is super important (even tho its so damn hard to ignore the FOMO). Coinmunity aggregates all the top posts from each coin’s subreddit so you can keep track of which coins have big upcoming events and learn more about coins you may not have heard of before - all in one place. You can download the iOS app here!

As of right now here are the top 20 coin communties of the day ordered by combined subreddit and twitter growth (Hopefully there will be a few you haven't researched yet):

If you would like to see some screenshots, here's an album..
Anyways, I hope this is ok to post here and that it can help some people pursue their dream of becoming an astronaut. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks!
p.s. dont do it!... hodl!!

Coinbase Binance Dance. Guide to Purchasing Altcoins.

Coinbase Binance Dance. Guide to purchasing altcoins.

The Coinbase Binance dance is a multi-step process used to purchase altcoins. (An altcoin is any cryptocurrency that is not Bitcoin). Reddit in particular is very fond of this method as it is commonly recommended to newcomers.
How it works: You purchase Ethereum using Coinbase, send that Ethereum to your Binance account, then execute a trade selling said Ethereum for your cryptocurrency of choice.
This is a process that seems very tedious and a bit complicated to crypto-newbies. No need to worry, I’m going to walk you through the process with photos included for visual aid.
Using this method, you can purchase various types of cryptocurrencies including:
Etc… the list goes on. So long as it’s listed on Binance, you will be able to trade for the coin.

Accounts to sign up for

Both Coinbase and Binance are cryptocurrency exchanges you must sign up for in order to do this method.
I recommend you create these accounts sooner rather than later as it can take a few days to get fully verified (especially for Coinbase).
If you’re having issues, or questions, or would just like more information, I have full detailed tutorials regarding both Coinbase & Binance.
See below:

I have created these accounts. What do I do now?

Awesome! You’ve got the accounts created, now it’s time to do the dance. For the sake of this tutorial I’ll be purchasing the cryptocurrency XRP. Remember, this method works with any cryptocurrency so long as it’s listed on Binance.
  • Step 1: Make sure your token can be purchased with Ethereum. Go to Binance's home page and select ETH Markets use the search bar to look for your tokens ticker. See photo.
If your token does not appear, check BTC Markets. If you see it there, you'll need to buy BTC and send it to Binance instead of ETH.
  • Step 2: Purchase Ethereum using Coinbase. See photo.
For the lowest possible fee in Coinbase, link your bank account the downside is that it will take 5-7 business days for your funds to be available to send from your account. To have instant access to your funds, pay with a credit/debit card. The downside to this being that fees will be higher.
  • Step 3: Send your Ethereum from Coinbase to your Binance Ethereum wallet address. See photo.
Optional: Depending on your location, you may or may not have to pay a Coinbase transfer fee. If you see that you do and would rather not, you can mitigate this fee by sending your crypto to Coinbase Pro or GDAX then to Binance. If this otherwise does not concern you, please continue below.
To find your Binance Ethereum wallet address, go to: Funds > Deposits > ETH - Ethereum and click Copy Address. See photo.
Once you click confirm, you’ll be asked to complete 2-step verification provided by your phone. See photo.
You can view the transaction in Coinbase. After a few minutes you’ll see confirmations coming through. Refresh the Binance deposits page as well and you’ll see confirmations. See photo.
You’ll get two emails during this process. One from Coinbase, another from Binance. Cryptocurrency transactions are not instantaneous on the Ethereum blockchain. In this case it took ~6 minutes for this transfer to complete, however this may vary depending on how congested the network is. During high periods of high traffic on the Ethereum blockchain, you can expect it to take longer than 6 minutes so don’t worry if it’s taking longer. As long as you’re seeing confirmation, you should be good. See photo.
Once you receive the Deposit Success Alerts email from Binance, go to Funds > Balances in Binance. You’ll see that you’re Ethereum balance has increased. See photo.
  • Step 4: In Binance, go to Exchange > Basic. You’ll be met with a screen that looks like this. See photo.
I know this screen looks a bit confusing. It’s really not. First thing we need to do is make sure Ethereum (ETH) is set as our baseline currency for trade.
  • Step 5: Set Ethereum as baseline currency. See photo.
You can see in that photo what is shown is all the possible cryptocurrencies pairings available with Ethereum.
  • Step 6: Use the search bar to search for the token’s ticker you’d like to purchase. See photo.
In the case for Ripple, the ticker is XRP. If you don’t know your coins ticker, Google it.
  • Step 7: Set your prefered parameters and click Buy. See photo.
The 25% 50% 75% and 100% buttons refer to how much of your set baseline funds you would like to dedicate towards your purchase. In my case, by clicking 100% I am saying I’d like to use 100% of my Ethereum funds to purchase XRP. Clicking 75% would be 75% of my ETH funds etc…
The Amount and Totals sections are automatically filled out based off your % choice.
  • Step 8: Wait for your order to be filled!
Depending on the market, your order may be filled right away or not. If you’re getting impatient you can always cancel the order and try again at a slightly higher price. If you’re going to edit the price per coin section, just be sure you don’t accidentally end up paying a ridiculously high amount.
If you click into the price field a blurb will appear showing you how much you’re paying per coin. See photo.
Congratulations! You’ve just done the Coinbase Binanace dance. Wasn’t so hard was it? Once your order has been completely filled, the Funds > Balances page should reflect your purchase. See photo.

Lower Fees using BNB

It helps to purchase a little bit of Binance native token BNB to help save on fees. Make sure you enable it in your account settings! See photo.
You can purchase BNB using the same method described above.

Selling your crypto.

Selling your crypto is a very similar process. In my instance with my XRP, if I wanted to sell that back to USD. I’d need to sell the XRP for Ethereum, then sell that Ethereum for USD on Coinbase.
The process would look something like this:
  • Sell my XRP for Ethereum in Binance
  • Withdrawal the Ethereum from Binance to Coinbase
  • Sell the Ethereum for USD through Coinbase.

Recommendations

If you consider yourself a hodler, and do not plan to actively be making trades, I highly recommend you send your crypto to a hardware wallet such as the Ledger Nano S. Hardware wallets are a form of cold storage and are the safest way to store cryptocurrency.
It is highly recommended you DO NOT store crypto on any exchange as exchanges themselves are prone to hacks (see Mt. Gox hack).
I also highly recommend you secure your Binance and Coinbase accounts with 2-factor authentication (2FA) and google authenticator to reduce the risk of a hack.

Conclusions

In the end, be glad that you learned how to do this process! Figuring out how to actually purchase cryptocurrency is one of the most challenging things for newbies, and now that you have a Coinbase and Binance account setup, you have the ability to purchase 95% of coins.
If you have any questions feel free to comment down below or send me a message. I’d be happy to help!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why not use Bitcoin to send to Binance. Why use Ethereum?
  • Transactions on the Ethereum blockchain are faster than Bitcoin's. Ethereum has a block time of ~15s, Bitcoin has a block time of ~10min. This means on average, Ethereum transactions will be faster than Bitcoins. Fees are also lower on the Ethereum blockchain so I consider Ethereum to be a much better bridge currency in the use of purchasing altcoins.
You could also use Litecoin if you wanted to. Litecoin has a smaller block time (2m 34s) compared to Bitcoin and the fees are much lower.
To see block time data on blockchains, BitInfoCharts is a very good resource.

Beginners Guide To Binance. How to Exchange Cryptocurrency

Beginners Guide to Binance. How to Exchange Cryptocurrency.

Binance is currently one of the largest cryptocurrency exchange in existence. Its appeal stems from its functionality, ease-of-use, and ability to trade and exchange hundreds of different altcoins. It certainly does look intimidating at first, but by the end of this guide, you’ll know how to: properly set up a Binance account, secure your Binance account, make cryptocurrency purchases through Binance, and use the basic exchange functionality.

Can you directly fund your Binance account?

No, and this is a common mistake made by newcomers in the space which is why I’m starting the guide off on this note. Binance doesn’t yet have the capability to convert fiat (your national currency) to crypto. In order to use Binance you need to purchase cryptocurrency from a separate exchange that allows you to do so (such as Coinbase), transfer the money to Binance, then make your altcoin purchase. I know that this seems a bit overbearing with all these steps involved but remember that we’re still in the early adoption phase of this industry and this is what is required to participate. This guide will show you the step-by-step process in how this is done to eliminate any confusion.

Creating a Binance Account

Creating a Binance account is extremely easy and requires very little in the way of identification.
  • Step 1: Visit Binance.com and click the “register” button. Make sure you are on the actual Binance website. There are many fakes out there in an attempt to phish for information, so be careful. I recommend bookmarking the correct Binance and keeping it in a folder along with other crypto related sites.
  • Step 2: Open the verification email Binance sends you to activate your account. At level 1, your account is technically “unverified”. However, all this means is that you are limited to the amount of BTC you can transfer off of the exchange per day. The limit for unverified accounts is 2BTC per day.
Pro Tip: If you’re planning on purchasing large amounts, it pays to buy a little bit of Binance’s native token (BNB). Currently, you get a 50% discount on transaction fees when paying in BNB. More on how to do this later.
  • Step 3: Enable 2 factor authentication (2FA) Although not required, it is highly recommended you enable 2 factor authentication. 2-factor authentication requires you to input a unique numeric code in addition to your password. The most common method is Google Authenticator and you can easily download it from the App store or Google Play. You can easily enable 2FA in “Security” settings.
Once downloaded, and 2FA is enacted on your Binance account, Binance will have you scan, or enter a unique barcode into your Google Authenticator app. This will link the two accounts together. Also be sure to write down the secret key provided along with the QR code. If the device you have 2FA enabled on gets lost or damaged, the only way you’ll be able to gain access to your account is through that secret key.
Disclaimer: If you choose to change phones at some point, it is very important that you transfer over this information. Google Authenticator is device specific, and not properly transferring information will result in you losing access to your Binance account!
Alternatively, you can use text messaging as your 2FA but it isn’t nearly as safe. Phone porting is a very common attack in the crypto space. This is a social engineering attack in which the perpetrator will call up your phone carrier impersonating you, in attempt to gain access to your SIM card. Once the attacker has access to your SIM card, your phone will get deactivated and the attacker will be forwarded your 2FA authentication text messages.
This is why Google Authenticator is the preferred method for 2FA.

Funding Your Binance Account

Binance does not yet have the capabilities to convert your national currency to cryptocurrency. If you haven’t already, I recommend creating a Coinbase account as it is one of the exchanges that will allow you to do this. To fund your Binance account, you need to purchase crypto via Coinbase then send it to Binance. For more information, I have an extensive tutorial on how to use Coinbase here.

Making Cryptocurrency Purchases With Binance

I’m going to walk you through how to make a cryptocurrency purchase with Binance. In this example we’re going to purchase the altcoin Ripple (XRP) but the same process will work for any other altcoin that’s available through on Binance.
  • Step 1: Purchase Ethereum on Coinbase.
I’m purchasing Ethereum instead of Bitcoin because Ethereum has much lower transaction fees than Bitcoin. Ethereum’s block time is also smaller than Bitcoin’s (~15 seconds as apposed to Bitcoin’s ~10 minutes) which means transactions on the Ethereum blockchain on average will be faster than Bitcoins.
  • Step 2: Find your Ethereum wallet address in Binance.
In the menu, go to: Funds > Deposits. Shown here.
Search ETH to bring up your Ethereum wallet address. What should appear is a long string of random numbers and letters. Click Copy Address. See photo.
  • Optional Step: Depending on your location, you may or may not have to pay a Coinbase transfer fee. If you see that you do and would rather not, you can mitigate this fee by sending your crypto to Coinbase Pro or GDAX then to Binance.
  • Step 3: Send your Ethereum from Coinbase to Binance
In the Coinbase menu go to Accounts, find Ethereum then click Send. A prompt that looks like this should come up. Paste your Ethereum address and enter the amount your planning to send. Make sure you double check everything before you officially confirm the transaction.
If you’re hesitant to send a large amount of crypto right away, you can always send small amount as a test to make sure it goes through properly.
  • Step 4: Wait.
It’ll take a bit of time for the transaction to occur. The amount of time it’ll take will depend on how congested the network is. Just be patient and it should all go through assuming you did everything correctly. During this process you’ll get two e-mails. One from Coinbase alerting that you sent Ethereum, and one from Binance alerting of a successful deposit.
  • Step 5: Set Ethereum as baseline currency.
In the Binance menu go to: Exchange > Basic. We’ll be making the purchase with Ethereum so we need to set Ethereum as our baseline currency. Under the menu in the top right corner, you should see Favorites, BTC, ETH, BNB, and USDT. Click ETH to set Ethereum as the baseline. See the photo below:
    https://i.imgur.com/xPLGsem.png
  • Step 6: Select the cryptocurrency you want to purchase.
We now have Ethereum as the baseline currency. Now we just need to tell Binance which cryptocurrency we’d like to purchase. In this example, we’re purchasing Ripple. Using the search bar shown here, type in the cryptocurrencies ticker. The ticker for Ripple is XRP. The results will be filtered down as such.
If you don’t know the ticker for the cryptocurrency you’re trying to purchase, Coin Market Cap has that information available.
  • Step 7: Making the purchase.
Go to the Market tab. As shown here. We’ll be focusing on the Buy XRP side. Market is the easiest method to make purchases as it is an agreement pay at what the current market price is. Notice how there’s options of 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. By selecting 100%, you’re essentially saying you’d like to use 100% of your Ethereum funds to purchase XRP. 75% would be 75% of your Ethereum funds and so on. You’d click Buy to officially place your order.
And there you go. That’s how you’d go about making a cryptocurrency purchase through Binance. You should be able to see your crypto by going to Funds > Balances. If it’s not there try Orders > Open Orders. It may still be trying to execute. The other order functions are Limit and Stop-Limit. Those work as follows:
Limit: You can choose the amount you would like to pay per coin/token and the order will fill once the market reaches that designated price.
Stop-Limit: A limit order will be executed once the price reaches the stop limit.

Fees

There’s a 0.01% trading fee using Binance. You can temporarily reduce this fee if you purchase Binance Coin (BNB) and enable BNB to pay for fee’s in your account settings. You see a full breakdown of the fee structure here.

Final Conclusions

And that’s how to use Binance! I know this process of purchasing altcoins can seem a bit tedious. Just remember that we’re sill in the early adoption phase of crypto, and this process over time will get more simple. As for now, this is what we must go through in order to partake in this industry. I’ll conclude this post by stating you should move your cryptocurrency off the Binance exchange and into a hardware wallet if possible. If a hardware wallet option is not available, then go the software wallet route. It is generally recommended NOT to leave cryptocurrency on exchanges, as there’s always the potential for an exchange to get hacked and your crypto, gone.

I built an app that ranks coin's based on the growth of their communities

Hi /BTC, I wanted to share a personal project that I figured some of you guys might be interested in.

Thanks!
p.s. dont do it!... hodl!!

I built an app that ranks coin's based on the growth of their communities

Hi /cryptocurrencytrading, I wanted to share a personal project that I figured some of you guys might be interested in.

Thanks!
p.s. dont do it!... hodl!!

For those android users, I will connect the database to a web app ASAP while I am working on getting an android version up and running. If you would like to be notified about when this is complete either follow https://twitter.com/coinmunityapp or shoot me an email at [email protected]

[uncensored-r/btc] OPERATION LIFEBOAT. SOS contact exchanges to use BCH pairs now

The following post by trader94 is being replicated because some comments within the post(but not the post itself) have been openly removed.
The original post can be found(in censored form) at this link:
np.reddit.com/ btc/comments/7qv6fl
The original post's content was as follows:

EXCHANGES THAT HAVE BCH PAIRS (signup & use):

  1. Gdax/Coinbase – U.S. based. They have some pairs, ask for more. (https://www.gdax.com)
  2. Coinex – has major BCH pairs. Thank them. (www.coinex.com)
