Russia: New Law Would Let Police Confiscate Bitcoin From 2021Russia is planning on creating legal statutes allowing the government to achieve the impossible: confiscation of Bitcoin (BTC).As local financial news outlet RBC reported on Nov. 7 citing sources familiar with the matter, Russia’s interior ministry will work with various state organs to draw up the plans, which could enter into law in 2021. JPMorgan To Release E-WalletJPMorgan Chase has just announced its intention to better integrate its service into the digital commerce world, and it is creating an easily accessible e-wallet to make this happen. BTC is facing an increase in selling interest below $9,375, but it is still holding the 100 hourly simple moving average. The last swing high was near $9,440 before the price declined towards the $9,200 support area. The recent low was $9,257 and the price is currently consolidating losses. An immediate resistance on the upside is near the $9,350-$9,360 area. It coincides with the 50% Fib retracement level of the recent drop from the $9,440 high to $9,257 low. Moreover, there is a key contracting triangle pattern forming with resistance near $9,360 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair. Therefore, an upside break above the $9,360 and $9,400 resistance levels could set the pace for more gains in the near term. Review previous articles:https://firstname.lastname@example.org

FSB Chair Reports To G20 Finance Ministers And Central Bank Governors On Oct 13, the Financial Stability Board (FSB) published a letter from its Chair Randal K. Quarles to G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors ahead of their meetings in Washington D.C. this week. The letter highlights three areas of the FSB’s work, which include the potential financial stability issues from global stablecoins. It mentions that stablecoin projects of potentially global reach and magnitude must meet the highest regulatory standards and be subject to prudential supervision and oversight. “Possible regulatory gaps should be assessed and addressed as a matter of priority. The FSB has formed a working group, to inform regulatory policy approaches that harness the benefits of financial innovation, while containing associated risks for the financial system, and advise on multilateral responses as necessary. The FSB will submit a consultative report to the G20 in April and a final report in July 2020,” the report reads. US Senators Threaten CEOs: Dump Libra Or Face Regulatory Wrath Facebook’s crypto woes are deepening as more partners are jumping the Libra ship before it even sets sail. It appears that US senators are urging them to do so as letters to CEOs have been leaked online. Some say the government is stifling innovation while others agree the crypto project is just dangerous. It seems that a number of US senators have been privately contacting Libra Association members urging them to dump the project like a hot rock. Letters shared online by VanEck digital asset strategist Gabor Gurbacs highlight the extent US politicians will go to in efforts to prevent Libra ever launching. Report: G7 Says ‘Global Stablecoins’ Pose Threat To Financial Stability The G7 group of nations has reportedly drafted a report which says that “global stablecoins” pose a threat to the global financial system. According to the BBC on Oct 13, a draft report from the G7 outlined the various risks associated with digital currencies. It also said that, even if member firms of the governing Libra Association addressed regulatory concerns, it may not get approval from the necessary regulators, stating: “The G7 believe that no stablecoin project should begin operation until the legal, regulatory and oversight challenges and risks are adequately addressed. […] Addressing such risks is not necessarily a guarantee of regulatory approval for a stablecoin arrangement.”

The price declined heavily and broke the key $8,500 support area. Moreover, there was a close below the $8,500 level and the 100 hourly simple moving average. It opened the doors for more losses below the $8,400 and $8,350 support levels. Recently, there was a recovery above the $8,400 level, but the price failed to gain pace above $8,450. As a result, there was a fresh decline from the $8,472 high. During the decline, there was a break below a key ascending channel with support near $8,340 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair. The pair traded as low as $8,146 and it is currently correcting higher. It broke the $8,200 level and the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $8,472 high to $8,146 low. At the moment, the price is testing the $8,300 area. Besides, it seems like the 50% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $8,472 high to $8,146 low is acting as a resistance. On the upside, there are many hurdles forming near the $8,350 and $8,400 levels. The key resistance is near the $8,400 level and the 100 hourly SMA. It also coincides with the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $8,472 high to $8,146 low. Therefore, a clear close above the $8,400 level might start a decent recovery. The next key resistance is near the $8,500 level, above which the price could test the $8,800 resistance. Conversely, if the price fails to recover above $8,350 or $8,400, it could resume its decline. An immediate support is near the $8,200 level. The pilot commercial trade transaction saw the firm — which owns Mercedes-Benz among other brands — process the data required to exchange payments with engineering firm and parts builder Dürr, according to a press release sent to CoinDesk on Wednesday (Sept 25). German bank Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) was also involved in the trade. Monero Protocol Upgrade Is Scheduled On November 30 According to AMBCrypto, Monero has caught the attention of the crypto-community for its upgrade towards the end of the year. The protocol upgrade will be carried out to improve Monero’s existing offerings. This upgrade will include freezing of code, which means that no further changes can be done from the developers’ end. There will be a network upgrade too. In order to enjoy the latest features after the update, users will be required to upgrade their systems to CLI v0.15 or GUI v0.15. Along with these minor upgrades, there is a significant number of major changes. A tentative schedule for the proposed upgrade was decided to take effect on 30 November. SEC Officials Would Consider To Creating Some Safe Harbour For Cryptos In a congress hearing on Sept 24 with SEC, a representative for North Carolina Patrick McHenry asked SEC chairman Clayton if he believes Libra is security. Clayton said that he was not prepared to make a decision. “We have to see how different assets function, to decide whether they would be a security, a commodity or a currency. But if what you are doing is using a digital asset to raise capital for a project with the idea that you are going to get a return as a result of investing in that project, sounds like security.” Mr.McHenry also expressed concerns that “too onerous regulation would drive off innovation from the US and the upside potential for investors.” SEC Commissioner Peirce thinks the SEC still has work to do to make sure that people can develop digital assets in the US in compliance with the SEC rules. “I would like to see us be a little bit more forward-thinking in ways that we might accommodate unique aspects of digital assets. For example, as digital assets that are utility tokens, I don’t know that the securities law framework that we have right now is an appropriate framework for them and so I’d like to see us think about creating some kind of a safe harbour,” said Peirce. Peirce stressed the idea is to allow is their current law for that SEC to write rigs around them and SEC has the authority that could allow the regulators to do that. https://preview.redd.it/bm9m0qigcqo31.png?width=504&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c3fb7d4fd04f347d38f39954c89251310902770

Yesterday, we saw a breakdown in bitcoin below the $10,000 support area against the US Dollar. The price remained in a bearish zone and broke many supports near $9,800 and $9,500. Moreover, there was a break below the $9,000 support and the 100 hourly simple moving average. Finally, the price traded close to the $8,000 level and registered a nasty decline. A low was formed near $8,055 and the price is currently correcting higher. There was a break above the $8,250 and $8,400 levels. Moreover, the price traded above the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $9,779 high to $8,055 low. However, the $8,750 level is acting as a strong resistance. The next resistance is near the $8,920 level. It coincides with the 50% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $9,779 high to $8,055 low. If there is an upside break above $9,000, the price could recover towards the $9,400 and $9,500 resistance levels. Additionally, there is a crucial bearish trend line forming with resistance near $9,500 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair. An intermediate resistance is near $9,120 and the 61.8% Fib retracement level of the recent decline from the $9,779 high to $8,055 low. On the other hand, if the price continues to struggle near $8,750 and $9,000, it could resume its decline. An immediate support is near the $8,400 level, below which it could test $8,250. If the bears remain in action, there is a chances of a break below $8,000. The next major support is near the $7,500 level. Hashrate: went from 54 to 76 PH/s, the low was 50 and the new all-time high is 100 PH/s. BeePool share rose to ~50% while F2Pool shrank to 30%, followed by coinmine.pl at 5% and Luxor at 3%. Staking: 30-day average ticket price is 95.6 DCR (+3.0) as of Sep 3. During the month, ticket price fluctuated between a low of 92.2 and high of 100.5 DCR. Locked DCR represented between 3.8 and 3.9 million or 46.3-46.9% of the supply. Nodes: there are 217 public listening and 281 normal nodes per dcred.eu. Version distribution: 2% at v1.4.0(pre) (dev builds), 5% on v1.3.0 (RC1), 62% on v1.2.0 (-5%), 22% on v1.1.2 (-2%), 6% on v1.1.0 (-1%). Almost 69% of nodes are v.1.2.0 and higher and support client filters. Data snapshot of Aug 31.
Obelisk posted 3 email updates in August. DCR1 units are reportedly shipping with 1 TH/s hashrate and will be upgraded with firmware to 1.5 TH/s. Batch 1 customers will receive compensation for missed shipment dates, but only after Batch 5 ships. Batch 2-5 customers will be receiving the updated slim design. Innosilicon announced the new D9+ DecredMaster: 2.8 TH/s at 1,230 W priced $1,499. Specified shipping date was Aug 10-15. FFMiner DS19 claims 3.1 TH/s for Blake256R14 at 680 W and simultaneously 1.55 TH/s for Blake2B at 410 W, the price is $1,299. Shipping Aug 20-25. Another newly noticed miner offer is this unit that does 46 TH/s at 2,150 W at the price of $4,720. It is shipping Nov 2018 and the stats look very close to Pangolin Whatsminer DCR (which has now a page on asicminervalue).
www.d1pool.com joined the list of stakepools for a total of 16. Australian CoinTreeadded DCR trading. The platform supports fiat, there are some limitations during the upgrade to a new system but also no fees in the "Early access mode". On a related note, CoinTree is working on a feature to pay household bills with cryptocurrencies it supports. Three new OTC desks were added to exchanges page at decred.org. Two mobile wallets integrated Decred:
Coinomiadded Decred to their Android and iOS wallets. In addition to the Apple App Store and Google Play you can download the APK directly. Coinomi features an integrated cryptocurrency exchange and is the first company to offer a mobile Decred wallet.
Reminder: do your best to understand the security and privacy model before using any wallet software. Points to consider: who controls the seed, does the wallet talk to the nodes directly or via middlemen, is it open source or not?
Bit Dialsannounced DCR support via GloBee at their bitdials.eu luxury boutique. Their separate supercar and classic car shop bitcars.eu also accepts DCR, either via GloBee or with manual invoicing in case of privacy concerns.

A thread was started to discuss changes to Decred jargon with the intent to make it more consistent and accessible to newcomers. The question whether changing "official" terminology requires stakeholder approval was touched in this thread and in #documentation.
Project fund transparency and constitution were extensively discussed on Reddit and in #general.
Pre-proposal to use Politeia to approve Politeia as a legitimate decision-making tool for Decred.
Reddit: substantive discussion about Decred cons; ecosystem fund; a thread about voter engagement, Politeia UX and trolling; idea of a social media system for Decred by @michae2xl; how profitable is the Obelisk DCR1. Chats: cross-chain trading via LN; plans for contractor management system, lower-level decision making and contractor privacy vs transparency for stakeholders; measuring dev activity; what if the network stalls, multiple implementations of Decred for more resilience, long term vision behind those extensive tests and accurate comments in the codebase; ideas for process for policy documents, hosting them in Pi and approving with ticket voting; about SPV wallet disk size, how compact filters work; odds of a wallet fetching a wrong block in SPV; new module system in Go; security of allowing Android app backups; why PoW algo change proposal must be specified in great detail; thoughts about NIPoPoWs and SPV; prerequisites for shipping SPV by default (continued); Decred vs Dash treasury and marketing expenses, spending other people's money; why Decred should not invade a country, DAO and nation states, entangling with nation state is poor resource allocation; how winning tickets are determined and attack vectors; Politeia proposal moderation, contractor clearance, the scale of proposals and decision delegation, initial Politeia vote to approve Politeia itself; chat systems, Matrix/Slack/Discord/RocketChat/Keybase (continued); overview of Korean exchanges; no breaking changes in vgo; why project fund burn rate must keep low; asymptotic behavior of Decred and other ccs, tail emission; count of full nodes and incentives to run them; Politeia proposal translations and multilingual environment. An unusual event was the chat about double negatives and other oddities in languages in #trading.
DCR started the month at USD 56 / BTC 0.0073 and had a two week decline. On Aug 14 the whole market took a huge drop and briefly went below USD 200 billion. Bitcoin went below USD 6,000 and top 100 cryptos lost 5-30%. The lowest point coincided with Bitcoin dominance peak at 54.5%. On that day Decred dived -17% and reached the bottom of USD 32 / BTC 0.00537. Since then it went sideways in the USD 35-45 / BTC 0.0054-0.0064 range. Around Aug 24, Huobi showed DCR trading volume above USD 5M and this coincided with a minor recovery. @ImacallyouJawdy posted some creative analysis based on ticket data.
StopAndDecrypt published an extensive article "ASIC Resistance is Nothing but a Blockchain Buzzword" that is much in line with Decred's stance on ASICs. The ongoing debates about the possible Sia fork yet again demonstrate the importance of a robust dispute resolution mechanism. Also, we are lucky to have the treasury. Mark B Lundeberg, who found a vulnerability in atomicswap earlier, published a concept of more private peer-to-peer atomic swaps. (missed in July issue) Medium took a cautious stance on cryptocurrencies and triggered at least one project to migrate to Ghost (that same project previously migrated away from Slack). Regulation: Vietnam bans mining equipment imports, China halts crypto events and tightens control of crypto chat groups. Reddit was hacked by intercepting 2FA codes sent via SMS. The announcement explains the impact. Yet another data breach suggests to think twice before sharing any data with any company and shift to more secure authentication systems. Intel and x86 dumpsterfire keeps burning brighter. Seek more secure hardware and operating systems for your coins. Finally, unrelated to Decred but good for a laugh: yetanotherico.com.

The biggest announcement of the month was the new kind of decentralized exchange proposed by @jy-p of Company 0. The Community Discussions section considers the stakeholders' response. dcrd: Peer management and connectivity improvements. Some work for improved sighash algo. A new optimization that gives 3-4x faster serving of headers, which is great for SPV. This was another step towards multipeer parallel downloads – check this issue for a clear overview of progress and planned work for next months (and some engineering delight). As usual, codebase cleanup, improvements to error handling, test infrastructure and test coverage. Decrediton: work towards watching only wallets, lots of bugfixes and visual design improvements. Preliminary work to integrate SPV has begun. Politeia is live on testnet! Useful links: announcement, introduction, command line voting example, example proposal with some votes, mini-guide how to compose a proposal. Trezor: Decred appeared in the firmware update and on Trezor website, currently for testnet only. Next steps are mainnet support and integration in wallets. For the progress of Decrediton support you can track this meta issue. dcrdata: Continued work on Insight API support, see this meta issue for progress overview. It is important for integrations due to its popularity. Ongoing work to add charts. A big database change to improve sorting on the Address page was merged and bumped version to 3.0. Work to visualize agenda voting continues. Ticket splitting: 11-way ticket split from last month has voted (transaction). Ethereum support in atomicswap is progressing and welcomes more eyeballs. decred.org: revamped Press page with dozens of added articles, and a shiny new Roadmap page. decredinfo.com: a new Decred dashboard by lte13. Reddit announcement here. Dev activity stats for June: 245 active PRs, 184 master commits, 25,973 added and 13,575 deleted lines spread across 8 repositories. Contributions came from 2 to 10 developers per repository. (chart)
Hashrate: growth continues, the month started at 15 and ended at 44 PH/s with some wild 30% swings on the way. The peak was 53.9 PH/s. F2Pool was the leader varying between 36% and 59% hashrate, followed by coinmine.pl holding between 18% and 29%. In response to concerns about its hashrate share, F2Pool made a statement that they will consider measures like rising the fees to prevent growing to 51%. Staking: 30-day average ticket price is 94.7 DCR (+3.4). The price was steadily rising from 90.7 to 95.8 peaking at 98.1. Locked DCR grew from 3.68 to 3.81 million DCR, the highest value was 3.83 million corresponding to 47.87% of supply (+0.7% from previous peak). Nodes: there are 240 public listening and 115 normal nodes per dcred.eu. Version distribution: 57% on v1.2.0 (+12%), 25% on v1.1.2 (-13%), 14% on v1.1.0 (-1%). Note: the reported count of non-listening nodes has dropped significantly due to data reset at decred.eu. It will take some time before the crawler collects more data. On top of that, there is no way to exactly count non-listening nodes. To illustrate, an alternative data source, charts.dcr.farm showed 690 reachable nodes on Jul 1. Extraordinary event: 247361 and 247362 were two nearly full blocks. Normally blocks are 10-20 KiB, but these blocks were 374 KiB (max is 384 KiB).
Update from Obelisk: shipping is expected in first half of July and there is non-zero chance to meet hashrate target. Another Chinese ASIC spotted on the web: Flying Fish D18 with 340 GH/s at 180 W costing 2,200 CNY (~340 USD). (asicok.com – translated, also on asicminervalue) dcrASIC team posted a farewell letter. Despite having an awesome 16 nm chip design, they decided to stop the project citing the saturated mining ecosystem and low profitability for their potential customers.
Changenow announced the option to buy DCR with fiat.
TokenPride: "We are seeking feedback on the general setup of our payment processor. We have tried to make it simple and user friendly. 10% of all purchases made in Decred will be donated to the Decred Development fund - and we will be releasing original Decred designs in the future".
BlueYard Capital announced investment in Decred and the intent to be long term supporters and to actively participate in the network's governance. In an overview post they stressed core values of the project:
There are a few other remarkable characteristics that are a testament to the DNA of the team behind Decred: there was no sale of DCR to investors, no venture funding, and no payment to exchanges to be listed – underscoring that the Decred team and contributors are all about doing the right thing for long term (as manifested in their constitution for the project). The most encouraging thing we can see is both the quality and quantity of high calibre developers flocking to the project, in addition to a vibrant community attaching their identity to the project.
The company will be hosting an event in Berlin, see Events below. Arbitrade is now mining Decred.
Campus Party in Brasilia, Brazil. @girino, @Rhama and @matheusd talked about Decred. Matheus was interviewed by a TV channel. Check this quick report about the event, click "Show newer" to continue reading. (photos: 123)
Blockchain Summit in London, UK. This was not a full blown presence with stand but rather investigation of opportunities by @kyle and @Ani. The resulting detailed report is a good example of a document advising to stakeholders whether it is worth spending project funds.
Meetup in Berlin, Germany on July 18. @jz will give a talk and Q&A about Decred and chat with Ele from @oscoin about incentivizing developers. Hosted by BlueYard Capital.
Hey guys! I'd like to share with you my latest adventure: Stakey Club, hosted at stakey.club, is a website dedicated to Decred. I posted a few articles in Brazilian Portuguese and in English. I also translated to Portuguese some posts from the Decred Blog. I hope you like it! (slack)

Community stats: Twitter followers 40,209 (+1,091), Reddit subscribers 8,410 (+243), Slack users 5,830 (+172), GitHub 392 stars and 918 forks of dcrd repository. An update on our communication systems:
Matrix chat logs are nowviewable on the web with the exception of some channels that are not bridged. The new web logs means our chats are now fully public and indexed by search engines.
Slack had an outage on Jun 27 that disturbed communications for a few hours, discussions continued on Decred's bridged platforms.
Jake Yocom-Piatt did an AMA on CryptoTechnology, a forum for serious crypto tech discussion. Some topics covered were Decred attack cost and resistance, voting policies, smart contracts, SPV security, DAO and DPoS. A new kind of DEX was the subject of an extensive discussion in #general, #random, #trading channels as well as Reddit. New channel #thedex was created and attracted more than 100 people. A frequent and fair question is how the DEX would benefit Decred. @lukebp has put it well:
Projects like these help Decred attract talent. Typically, the people that are the best at what they do aren’t driven solely by money. They want to work on interesting projects that they believe in with other talented individuals. Launching a DEX that has no trading fees, no requirement to buy a 3rd party token (including Decred), and that cuts out all middlemen is a clear demonstration of the ethos that Decred was founded on. Another concern that it will slow down other projects was addressed by @davecgh:
The intent is for an external team to take up the mantle and build it, so it won't have any bearing on the current c0 roadmap. The important thing to keep in mind is that the goal of Decred is to have a bunch of independent teams on working on different things. (slack)
A chat about Decred fork resistance started on Twitter and continued in #trading. Community members continue to discuss the finer points of Decred's hybrid system, bringing new users up to speed and answering their questions. The key takeaway from this chat is that the Decred chain is impossible to advance without votes, and to get around that the forker needs to change the protocol in a way that would make it clearly not Decred. "Against community governance" article was discussed on Reddit and #governance. "The Downside of Democracy (and What it Means for Blockchain Governance)" was another article arguing against on-chain governance, discussed here. DCR opened the month at ~$93, reached monthly high of $110, gradually dropped to the low of $58 and closed at $67. In BTC terms it was 0.0125 -> 0.0150 -> 0.0098 -> 0.0105. The downturn coincided with a global decline across the whole crypto market. In the middle of the month Decred was noticed to be #1 in onchainfx "% down from ATH" chart and on this chart by @CoinzTrader. Towards the end of the month it dropped to #3.

Bithumb got hacked with a $30 m loss. Zcash organized Zcon0, an event in Canada that focused on privacy tech and governance. An interesting insight from Keynote Panel on governance: "There is no such thing as on-chain governance". Microsoft acquired GitHub. There was some debate about whether it is a reason to look into alternative solutions like GitLab right now. It is always a good idea to have a local copy of Decred source code, just in case. Status update from @sumiflow on correcting DCR supply on various sites:
To begin with, none of the below sites were showing the correct supply or market cap for Decred but we've made some progress. coingecko.com, coinlib.io, cryptocompare.com, livecoinwatch.com, worldcoinindex.com - corrected! cryptoindex.co, onchainfx.com - awaiting fix coinmarketcap.com - refused to fix because devs have coins too? About This Issue
This is the third issue of Decred Journal after April and May. Most information from third parties is relayed directly from source after a minimal sanity check. The authors of Decred Journal have no ability to verify all claims. Please beware of scams and do your own research. The new public Matrix logs look promising and we hope to transition from Slack links to Matrix links. In the meantime, the way to read Slack links is explained in the previous issue. As usual, any feedback is appreciated: please comment on Reddit, GitHub or #writers_room. Contributions are welcome too, anything from initial collection to final review to translations. Spike in price In general, I would argue that the cryptocurrency market has retraced the vast majority of the speculatively driven bubble of 2017, leaving us very near if not at the bottom of this bear movement. For the past few weeks, the entre market as a whole has been consolidating, forming levels of support. Recently, Bitcoin Cash is an asset of particular interest, not only because this is an asset we are very bullish in the long term, but even more so because the market has propelled on the false pretences of a chain split. 📷 The diagram above shows the price action for Bitcoin Cash over the past week. At the beginning of the week, from 31st October to 2nd November the asset was reportedly trading sideways between the $410 and $425 region. If we now turn our attention to the past 4 days to be specific, we see that on 2nd November the asset began rallying. Volumes, shown by the vertical black lines, increased sharply and price followed suit. The main catalyst for this bull run coincides with the anticipated chain split. There have been several different factors at play which have caused this unjustified bullish movement migrating beyond the $600 region. Binance Announcement The main catalyst causing the rally, in my opinion was the announcement made by Binance exchange. 📷 As shown above, Binance released a statement that they will be supporting the hard fork on 2nd November causing massive surges in volume and price. In my opinion this is a strategic move by Binance as if they are the only exchange that announces their support, BCH volumes will bleed from other exchanges into binance, increasing their volumes regardless of a chainsplit. This is the huge misconception in my opinion. After noticing this, Coinbase seen followed suit. Coinbase Announcement 📷 As per the announcement above, Coinbase also released a statement on 4th stating that they will be support the upcoming BCH fork. Analysing the chart showing BCH price action also shows bull pumps on this date too. 📷 The table above shows the total volume traded using BCH over the past week. As we can see on 2nd November there was a huge increase in volume, increasing over 100% from the previous day. Furthermore, on 4th November BCH volumes further increased nearly 300% from the previous days, showing the impact of Coinbase also supporting the fork. The next area of analysis should concern other reasons why there could have been a price increase, independent of the announcements made by Binance and Coinbase. BTC Vs BCH Some would argue the price of BCH could surge over the anticipation of negative news associated with BTC - As the assets are considered somewhat substitute goods. I don’t think this is the most compelling of arguments as there is mainly bullish news upcoming for BTC.
Baakt exchange is scheduled to go live on 12th December. This is massive for the community as it could act as the reassurance traditional institutional investors need in order to safely enter the space, using the trusted Goldman Sachs as their “Cryptocurrency prime brokers”.
The ETF is a decision in which has drawn the attention of the entire cryptocurrency community. An approval could very much be the catalyst for Bitcoin breaching ATHs and heading toward the $50,000 and $100,000 benchmark commonly spoken of in the space. 📷 The graph above demonstrates Bitcoin’s dominance. As we see the ATLs of January 2018 and a revisit of these level in July 2018, the Bitcoin ETF played a huge part in increasing Bitcoin’s dominance. If we now explore the difference in market conditions from July to present, there hasn’t been any significant development work by Bitcoin developers, nor has there been friendly regulatory framework - quite the opposite actually with RBI and PBOC. Consequently it would be sensible to assume Bitcoins dominance is at circa 50% due to the ETF largely.
📷 The chart above shows Bitcoin’s hashing power alongside that of Bitcoin Cash. Exploring the chart we see the hashing power of BTC increasing on 2nd November and 4th November. We can therefore rule out the idea of a shift in hashing power from BTC blockchain to BCH blockchain as a reason causing the increase in the price of BCH.
📷 The chart above shows the profitability of mining Bitcoin Cash compared to mining Bitcoin. As we can see, it currently more profitable for miners to mine Bitcoin instead of Bitcoin Cash. Therefore, there would be no monetary incentive of mining which could have led to miners switching to BCH that can in turn positively affect the BCH price. As a conclusion, it is sensible to associate the BCH spike in price with the announcements made by the two exchanges. This leaves me with certainty anticipating a fall in the price of BCH. Why the price of BCH is overvalued for the bear market As proven, the surge in both volume and price of Bitcoin Cash was solely caused by the consecutive announcements shown above. Therefore as soon as the Bitcoin Cash screenshot is taken, we will see large sell offs in the asset, causing price depreciations, just as we have experienced with all other Bitcoin forks. People are purely incentivised to buy an asset before it hard forks just to attain the free money that comes with it. The next reason why I believe there is large appetite for a impactful sell off, possibly even greater than the pump we have seen over the past week is because of the nature of this split. There is NO replay protection implemented as of yet. Now, with there being no replay protection exchanges aren’t willing to list the forked asset as replay attacks pose a huge risk. If we now reminisce on Binance and Coinbase expressing their support for the fork, we can ask ourselves why would they support if there’s no replay protection? The simple answer and most feasible answer is There wont be a chain split which can be subject to replay attacks. Now let's explore the case of replay protection being added and there is a chain split, creating another token. Should this happen, given the current market sentiment, people will undoubtedly sell off. The first reason why they would sell of is because it will provide them with profitability, meaning they reconfigure their portfolios, purchasing assets currently undervalued, and the second reason being they will now anticipate a sell off from those who simply purchased BCH just for the fork. Lastly, following our meeting with CSW and SS, we know that nChain and CoinGeek are collectively supportive of low BCH prices, as according to SS it will bankrupt Jihan far sooner than nChain. As the fork commences, It wouldnt surprise me if we see further selling pressure. Technical Analysis 📷 Exploring the Bitcoin Cash weekly chart above, we see a very significant resistance level at $660. This tells us that it is very hard for price to penetrate this level to the upside. 📷 Breaking this down into the daily chart, we see this level a little clearer. The daily chart produced a wick which failed to pierce the resistance zone, clearly testing the level and failing to brakethrough. 📷 Lastly, the 4hr chart above shows a bearish engulfing candle. This is a strong indication of bearish momentum signifying further movement to the downside.
Bitcoin price extended gains and traded to a new 2019 high above $6,080 against the US Dollar. The price surged higher towards the $6,100 level and it is currently consolidating gains. There was a break above a connecting trend line with resistance at $6,005 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair (data feed from Kraken). The pair remains well supported on the downside, but there are many hurdles near $6,100 and $6,200. Bitcoin price surging higher with a bullish bias above $6,000 against the US Dollar. BTC could surge towards the $6,200 level before a strong downside correction. Yesterday, there was a sharp decline in bitcoin price below $5,900 against the US Dollar due to the Binance exchange security breach. The BTC/USD pair declined below the $5,800 level and the 100 hourly simple moving average. However, the $5,660 level acted as a strong support, resulting in a fresh rise. The price started a strong rise and broke the $5,900 and $5,950 resistance levels. There was even a close above the $5,950 level and the 100 hourly SMA. During the rise, there was a break above a connecting trend line with resistance at $6,005 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair. The pair climbed above the $6,050 level and traded to a new 2019 high above $6,080. A swing high was formed at $6,096 and the price is currently consolidating gains. An initial support is near $6,020, the broken trend line, and the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the last wave from the $5,810 low to $6,096 high. If there is a break below $6,020 and $6,000, the price may test the $5,950 support zone. It represents a strong support and coincides with the 50% Fib retracement level of the last wave from the $5,810 low to $6,096 high. If there is a downside extension, the next support is at $5,920. There is also a connecting bullish trend line on the same chart with support near $5,880. Therefore, the price remains well supported on the downside near $6,020, $6,000 and $5,950. On the upside, there are many hurdles for the bulls near $6,100 and $6,200. Trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies with up to 100x leverage. The most of people expect charts and indicators, when they see the term "prediction". I think, It's not so important in crypto world. Since there are no regulations, we can see many times pumps and dumps or manipulations by whales and cartels. The prediction in crypto is about news and facts. Let's take a look at facts around Adex.
FACTS I have followed Adex for 5 weeks. And this is their work for this time:
introducing of prototype / beta product (all bugs fixed within a few days), as well as the scaling which was planned in the end of 2019
knowledge base about the using of tool
the little changes in prototype related to feedbacks from users, to be more user-friendly tool
introducing of new roadmap
3 new exchanges + one agregator, where you can buy Adex
In the same time Stremio (company behind Adex project) introduced Stremio beta of new product. They started to collect more data about users (5 millions+ users). All this facts were announced within 5 weeks.
NEW ROADMAP + coming partnership According to new roadmap, Adex will bring big news in July - September 2018:
The reward system for the attention monetization (audience / visitors) It means, that the ordinary person searching information via internet can be rewarded with Adex coins, If he/she chooses the using of Adex platform. No one from competitors have finish this feature yet. Adex will be more public. The platform will be used by ordinary people. It will acquire a new investors.
The improvements in user targeting and reporting These features are required by bigger companies. They need more advanced settings for audience targeting, as well as more advanced reports for analyzing. The platform will be more interesting for bigger advertising companies.
Stremio like the publisher Stremio and Adex are managed by same people. I think, It's not coincidence, that Adex beta and Stremio beta were realised in same time. The traffic on Stremio pages was enhanced from 30K (december) to 1.6M (february) = +5333% visits. Stremio business is focused on videos and streamings. Video advertising is one of features, which is developing by Adex righ now according to roadmap. They have 5 millions users (maybe already more), who will see the ads of advertisers using Adex platform. Stremio waits while video advertisings will be available in Adex platform. (according to telegram in July 2018)
PRICE Current price Why is the price so low? Because the manipulations with bitcoin caused the decrease of price in all altcoins, not only in Adex. It's the main reason. I noticed, that here is the weak community.
Many of these reddit subscribers are not the current investors. They bought Adex in december, when the prototype was planned to be introduced. Unfortunately, It didn't happen. They got the loss or no profit, while other projects made a profit. Now, they are frustrated and write negative comments in our community.
Second type of subscribers came here in the time of prototype introducing with big expectations, but Adex fell down because of bear market / market correction / bitcoin decrease.
This community need more solid subscribers, who will help Adex to grow. (more youtube videos, articles and so on). Adex community on twitter is big (54 000 followers) and very positive. Coming price 2-3 weeks ago, Lighting network was launched on mainnet, so the real using started. LN enables to process payments with bitcoin within 2-3 seconds. 6000-8000 korean merchants will implement bitcoin as payment method in Q2. Crypto or bitcoin will appear in media again. New investors will come. Altcoins will start grow. Some bigger projects have already started. Take a look at EOS (+60%), XVG (+150%) and a few others. Also a few smaller projects are being bought, for example VTC (+40% within 2 hours). LN will get new merchants in the end of Q2 / the start of Q3. Adex will introduce new features and partnerships in July. The news will start. Adex coins are available on the biggest exchanges (Upbit, Houbi, Binance, Bittrex and so on). Now is the best price, which you can get.
The COMPARISON with BAT Only BAT and Adex (from similar projects) introduced the final products. BAT was the first. And also, they introduced product in right time. It's one of the reasons why BAT has more investors and publishers. They developed the browser, where you can publish and advertise your own ads. They have the experience with browser developing, so It was their advantage. Adex developed the tool, which enable you to publish and advertise your own ads on all browsers. Adex have the experience in video advertising, which will be available in the platform soon. Take a look how videos are more and more popular in the internet. Facebook developed new features in videos. They want to show you more video contents, because they try to compete to Youtube. New generation (millenials) have the better graphic feeling. They work with tablets / watch the videos on Youtube from 3 years old. Video advertising is the future and this is the advantage of Adex team. Also 5 millions userbase. MarketCap BAT: 185 mil.$ -> If you want 100% profit from BAT, you need new investors with 200 mil. $. Adex: 42 mil.$ -> If you want 100% profit from Adex, you need new investors with 50 mil. $. What is simpler?
Facebook was the first social media, that banned Crypto advertising.
Google banned Crypto advertising in March 2018, a few days ago.
Twitter are going to ban Crypto in coming days / weeks.
All crypto community (ICO and so on) will looking for the ways how advertise their projects. Adex have functional beta product, which is based on blockchain technology. I don't know how many publishers have been registered in Adex so far, but It will be the best option for Crypto advertising soon. One bigger publisher (for example Stremio) can bring advertisers who will pump the price. Once Adex will be added to Trezor and Ledger, the platform will be used for free (no fees).

“Take Binance for example, people will start to gossip that Binance is on top of the charts because they are the owners. But is this true, we are not sure.
